A.R.A.T. (The Action Research Arm Test)

This test is used in people with hemiplegia and controls the skill of the person using the hemiplegic hand in activities of everyday life. It is a test designed to record the manner and speed with which the patient perform specific movements to the affected limb. The test assesses four areas:

  1. Capture object with all fingers
  2. Capture object in a two-foot position.
  3. Prinismos-supination
  4. Contrast thumb with index, middle and ring fingers
